I have personally seen many dual pop cars and with JWT ECU they have a BAD lean spot at around 4500rpm out of the box. You're advising him to lean out even more? Never ever lean out the fuel curve without an o2 wideband. It cost me a motor doing exactly that. Every car is different anyway I would never advise anyone to touch the AFC without having any means to watch the A/F ratio. We had to enrich the mixture on our cars by minimum of 9% at around 4000-4500rpm to get rid of the lean spot.
